Highways
I-43 connects Sheboygan to its nearest metropolitan areas, Green Bay and Milwaukee. Both are about 60 miles away. In addition, State Highways 42, 32, 23 and 28 lead into Sheboygan from points north, northwest, southwest and south. I-43 is one mile from the Central City. Exits: #113 Cedar Grove

Water Port
To the east is Lake Michigan which carries both pleasure and commercial craft to the harbor at the Sheboygan River. The depth of the deepest channel is 22 feet.

Air
The City of Sheboygan is served by Sheboygan County Memorial Airport, the 10th busiest general airport in Wisconsin with over 73,000 airport operations (take-offs/landings) per year.

In 1992 a $2.3 million expansion program modified and updated existing runways, taxiways, lighting and communications systems to meet the requirements for a Transport Category Facility.

Forty-five industrial, commercial and private hangars house a fleet of more than 115 aircraft, which are based at SBM. SBM is the seventh largest airport in Wisconsin for total based aircraft. This facility is served by a Fixed Base Operator, Western Shores Aviation, 800-242-7643.

Vehicles are tested biennially based on the vehicle model year. Testing is required at time of registration renewal. Renewal notices state if testing is required. Emissions tests are required to assure vehicles meet emission standards to reduce vehicle-related pollution. The Department of Natural Resources sets the emission standards for vehicles.
