Sheboygan County is proud of its accomplishments and quality of life. Our most recent national rankings include:
February 2004 - Golf Magazine, ranked the top 10 new golf courses amongst 270 in the nation that opened in 2003. Top ten list included "The Bull At Pinehurst Farms", located in Sheboygan Falls and designed by Jack Nicklaus.
January 2004 - Morgan-Quitno Press. Sheboygan ranked 7th safest city in the nation, amongst 281 metropolitan areas, based on 2002 crime statistics.
November 2002 - Golf Magazine. 17th ranked golf destination in the country.
2002 Fall Issue - Development Digest, one of four Wisconsin cities identified as Wisconsin=s Quality of Life Precious Gems.
June 2002 - Money, one of eight Best Places to Retire.
February 2001 - ePodunk. Top-ranked city in the country in the Internet sites Home Towns Index as #1 Hometown USA.
September, 2000 - Golf Digest, ranked Sheboygan the #3 golf destination in the US, #7 in the world.
1998 - Wisconsin Coastal Management ranked Sheboygan as the Lake Michigan Coastal Community of the year.
