The City of Plymouth

The City of Plymouth, population 8,022 is located in the center of Sheboygan County on State Highway 57. The City government includes a Mayor and Common Council. The electric, water, and sewer utilities are provided by the City-owned Plymouth Utilities and natual gas provided by Wisconsin Public Service. Verizon is the local phone service provider. State Highways 23 and 57 provide convenient access for area firms which include such nationally known companies as Gargento and Toro.

While Plymouth has successfully developed two industrial parks over the last 35 years, such parks are now fully occupied. The Plymouth Industrial Development Corporation now owns more than 160 acres near State Highway 57 and the City of Plymouth has established a Tax Incremental Financing District for development of this land. The engineering for the sewer and water extensions and for the site planning are in process. Present plans call for extending the utilities in 2004; however, recent interest may accelerate such plans. For information, please contact the Plymouth Industrial Development Corporation, Mel H. Blake, President, at (920) 892-4451. Additional information about the City's low interest loan program for business projects can also be provided upon request.
